The classic Ford Mustang Fox Body GT 5.0 looks incredible with a set of CCW Twisted classic wheels
The Ford Mustang Fox Body is a third-generation pony car produced by the American carmaker from 1978 to 1993. Its name is derived from the fact that the vehicle is built on Ford’s Fox platform. While it evolved through several sub-models, trim levels, and drivetrain combinations, it was the 5.0 GT version that took the cake. Powered by a multiport fuel-injected 302 cu in (4.9 L) V8, rated at 200 hp (149 kW; 203 PS), this was a powerful engine for a vehicle weighing at around 2,700 lb (1,200 kg) for most versions.
There’s a bit of a what could have been factor included with the Ford Mustang Foxbody, as the vehicle almost got replaced by a front-wheel-drive Mazda platform. However, the company executives were swayed by consumer opinion and the rear-wheel-drive Mustang stayed, providing us with a well-known RWD high-performance machine we all like.
