For the most part, this Volkswagen Golf MKIV GTI build ticks all the tuning boxes. It’s lowered on a set of custom CCW LM20 three-piece forged wheels, featuring a deep-dish, step-lip construction, it comes with a custom gray exterior finish and the car features several aerodynamic additions, making it a really gorgeous looking Golf GTI. Just what the owner of this vehicle wanted.
When released, the Golf MKIV proved to be one heck of a highly coveted item from the German car maker’s inventory. In turn, VW released a GTI version not long after the car was released, pleasing numerous hot-hatch fans around the world. The MKIV GTI also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Golf GTI and came with a 1.8 turbocharged engine, delivering 180 horsepower and was able to sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 6.4 seconds. Not record-breaking specs by today’s standards, but back then, this was a seriously fast & appealing hit hatch.
While the car was surpassed by its more powerful and better-performing successors – the VW Golf MKV GTI and R32 – it’s still a very much loved car inside the VW tuning community. And this particular MKIV GTI build proves just the same.
